A Place That Warms the Heart

Our grief support program's mission is to provide loving support in a safe place where people experiencing loss are allowed and encouraged to share their feelings as they journey throught the healing process.

It is important to recognize there are three tasks which assist in the healing process:

GRIEVING:  We provide support services in a caring and compassionate environment to allow each person to grieve in his or her own way.  Trained professional facilitators are available during each group session to listen and guide the participants on their journeys.

UNDERSTANDING:  We assist children, adolescents, and adults in discovering ways to understand and resolve issues faced by losing a loved one. One way we do this is by focusing on education and improved communication between family members and friends.

COMMEMORATING:  Remembrance is an important part of grief.  Our annual Tree of Lights Ceremony is held at Broadmoor Baptist in the Memorial Chapel, and is followed by dinner in the Broadmoor Dining Area.  This ceremony is a beautiful memorial service that allows one to memorialize loved ones during a very important family holiday.

According to the need there will be four separate groups - Children, students, spouses and parents/friends.  All are led by licensed clinical social workers or physician's assistant clinical nurses.

Registration is encouraged but not absolutely required.

Participants or inquirers need to call for Leigh to register on the phone:
